Our great grand father, Mohammed Rashid (Senior) first set up a catering business in the 1930s, cooking traditional Pakistani cuisine in a tiny village close to Dina, in the North East of Pakistan. His dishes were influenced by traditional Punjab dishes, such as Biriani, Jhelumi and Handi, which are still cooked in the Balti House today.
